Nelson Karumba

Nelson Karumba is an associate in the corporate and commercial department of G&A Advocates LLP.

He specializes in corporate and commercial law and in particular, advises clients in transactions with debt, equity or capital markets components. Nelson has advised multiple financiers investing in Kenyan entities through the transaction cycle – from inception to closing. Likewise, he has advised multiple enterprises seeking financing from both local and international investors. Nelson also demonstrates an exceptional grasp of corporate governance, general corporate commercial matters such as setting up, intellectual property and immigration.

Nelson is an alumnus of Kenyatta University School of Law and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.

Represented a confectionery manufacturer in an acquisition financing by two impact funds through sale of its shares for the sum of USD 350,000.

Advised a climate impact fund on restructuring of its subsidiary, a private equity fund focused on green financing.
Advised a biotechnology company specializing in the production of organic insecticide pyrethrum in a debt financing transaction of USD 10,000,000.
