Kiprotich joined the firm as a pupil at the firm and and was subsequently retained in the Dispute Resolution Department as an Associate Advocate. He has gained considerable experience in Labour and Employment Law litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law, Debt Recovery, Constitutional and Human Rights Litigation, Insurance and Risk Management Litigation, Insolvency Litigation, Family and Children Law, Succession and Trusts Law including other related areas.
Kiprotich holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from Kisii University before joining and a Post-graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
Expertise:
Part of the team that participated in challenging the legality of the High Court BBI Judgment in the superior Courts;
Participated in the insolvency proceedings filed against Tusker Mattresses Limited;
Participated in the representation of Banks and Financial institutions in Debt recovery suits and other incidental proceedings;
Participated in challenging various petitions filed at the Employment and Labour Relations Court and the High Court against the Judicial Service Commission seeking prayers in the nature of declaration of contravention of the Constitution in various disciplinary processes undertaken by the Commission and the Petition challenging the interview process for appointment of the Chief Justice.
Participated in drafting and preparation of a Joint Venture agreement;
Took part in the registration of 27 trademarks on behalf of Kenya Seed Company Limited
Activities
Participated in the preparation and training of KCB Bank Kenya Limited’s Disciplinary Committees on Disciplinary Procedures and Employment Separation.
