Whitney Mwenje

Whitney Mwenje is an Associate in the Real Estate, Banking & Finance Department. She specializes in sale and purchase of land, securitization, real estate brokerage and management, leasing, data protection, insolvency law, unclaimed financial assets, mergers and acquisitions, and general commercial practice.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Kenyatta University, a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law and is currently pursuing studies towards certification as a Certified Company Secretary and a Data Protection Officer.

Advising and perfecting securities which include legal charges, debentures, guarantees, deeds of assignment, and security agreements under the Movable Property Security Rights Act (MPSRA).

Reviewing and drafting agreements for sales of land, leases and motor vehicle purchase agreements.

Advising Clients in connection with transactions of land acquisition and land control requirements.

Advising clients on data protection, unclaimed financial assets, insolvency, mergers and acquisitions.

Advising clients on real estate taxes including stamp duty and capital gains tax.

Advising Clients in the purchase of apartments across the country.

Engaged in research, preparing legal opinions and training clients on emerging issues in the real estate and banking sector.

Advising clients on letters of offer and the process of security perfection.
