Ronald is an Associate in the Real Estate and Finance Department. He has significant expertise in real estate/conveyancing law where he advises real estate developers, Banks and in general corporate commercial law with a bias in business set-up in Kenya and advising on continuing corporate governance matters. Ronald has advised on Land related matters and complex Real Estate deals in a timely manner. He has advised on a number of local and multi-national transactions including banking and financing, security documentation, privatizations and various commercial transactions.
Ronald holds an LL.B(Hons) degree from Moi University and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Giving advisories and opinions to financial institutions. He recently gave an advisory opinion to Banks and Various Lenders on the application of the Movable Properties and Securities Rights Act (MPSRA) on the registration of securities created under the Hire Purchase Act.
Advised the Bank on the extent to which the Land Act allows for variation of charges.
Advising banks on the impact of The Business Laws (Amendment) Act, 2020 which amended Section 37 of the Companies Act, 2015 on execution under seal.
Part of the team tasked with reviewing the various Election Laws in Kenya with a view to giving proposals and reforms of the Election Law.
Representing a real estate developer in the sub-division of property into 101 parcels and in the subsequent transfers of the parcels to individual parcels at an average selling price of Kshs.14,000,000 each.
He is working on the subdivision of the lease into 3 portions and further changing the user of two portions from Educational use to residential purposes.
